Good Morning, Folks!
I would like to welcome you to Talking Indonesia. I hope you will enjoy it.
First of all, Talking Indonesia is a blog, just a blog. It is not an online newspaper or magazine . Even though, perhaps,in future the appearance of the website may look like a newspaper, but in the core, it will just be a blog.
The blog will contain writings, made by me, the owner, or other contributors about Indonesia, my country where I was born and have lived until today. It can be something I see everyday in my daily life or it can be picked up from the news, the places I visited during my travel, or probably only my ideas.
All will be related to this archipelago.
The website, or the blog is not associated with any political parties or company and purely independent. It’s administered by “only” me.
The idea behind the making of this blog is simply because I love writing. Indeed. After having several other blogs, I came up with an idea to add to this blogsphere another blog talking about Indonesia. I know well that there have been many Indonesian English written website or blogs but still think another one won’t hurt anybody.
I hope you agree with me.
However, I would like to emphasize more on what I see, so it won’t be like a personal diary or journey note telling you where I go etc. Frankly speaking, I am not an expert on telling about myself but a bit better as an observer.
Also, I want the readers of the blog can also bring something with them. In this case, probably a bit knowledge about Indonesian Language is my expertise that I can offer. Being born as Indonesian, probably I can provide you with quite vast knowledge about this language.
The blog is a continous project of mine. It may develop bit by bit, slice by slice. At this moment it still only has few categories i.e.
Learning Indonesian
The category is intended for anyone who wants to learn the language. I will try to make it as easy as possible and not too theoretical. In future, the lesson may be equipped with sound and
The Indonesian
The category will be filled with writings about daily life in Indonesia, especially more in the cities where I spent most of my time i.e. Bogor, Jakarta, Bekasi, Tangerang, Depok.
Few other categories may be added in due time. On which, the about page of Talking Indonesia will be updated everytime, a category added onto the menu.
That is all, folks! A short explanation about Talking Indonesia.
I hope you will enjoy it. Honestly, I expect some feedback after your reading. So, I will look forward to receiving constructive comments.
Thank you.
Sincerely Yours,
Anton Ardyanto
