Indonesian language adopted the same alphabet system as many other languages in the world by using Latin characters. There is no additional or special characters used in Indonesian. All are the same.
Indonesian alphabet system consists of 21 consonants and 5 vowels.
However, how to spell the alphabets is a bit different from English language. For example, how to spell “Y” or how to read “U” are different.
Also, there are a system of double consonants such as “NG” and “NY” and double vowels like “AU”. How to pronounce this will need some practice.
